Your ZOLEO can send and receive satellite text anywhere on Earth, but it can’t fetch a forecast. Beamback fixes that: text an area and get a real GRIB chart back (wind, pressure, rain, waves) or ask the AI a question. No phone signal, no new hardware.

GRIB weather + waves + AI · GFS · ECMWF · satellite text · ZOLEO airtime separate
Add your ZOLEO device email and reply with a short code. Two minutes, done forever, no app, no cables.
From anywhere at sea, text a forecast area and time range, or ask a question in plain English, just like any other ZOLEO message.
A compact GRIB forecast or a straight AI answer lands on your ZOLEO. Open it in the free Beamback viewer as a real weather chart.
Out of the box a ZOLEO sends and receives satellite text but can’t fetch a forecast. Pair your ZOLEO with Beamback once, then text a forecast request, an area and a time range, and a real GRIB weather forecast beams back as satellite messages. No phone signal, no extra hardware, no app on the device.
Yes. Beamback delivers GFS and ECMWF GRIB data, wind, pressure, rain and significant wave height, to any ZOLEO by satellite text, so it works far offshore where there is no phone signal. The free Beamback viewer turns the messages back into a GRIB file you can read on a map or open in your weather-routing software.
The Beamback relay is €6 per month, cancel anytime, with unlimited forecast and AI requests under fair use. During the current beta, access is invite-gated and free. Your ZOLEO satellite airtime is billed separately by ZOLEO, like any other message you send.
Yes. Alongside weather, you can text a question in plain English, interpret a forecast, first aid, a repair, the nearest safe harbour, and Beamback beams an AI answer back to your ZOLEO over the same satellite link. No phone signal needed.
Beamback is invite-gated and free during beta. Request access and we’ll email you an invite as slots open.
