Privacy policy
Last updated: July 2026
The short version
Beamback collects the minimum it needs to run the service: your email address, what it needs to identify the satellite device you pair, and a log of the requests you send. There are no ads, no tracking pixels, and no analytics that follow you around the web. Your data is never sold.
What we collect and why
- Your email address, used to sign you in (magic link) and to contact you about your account.
- Your ZOLEO device email address (ZOLEO only), used to pair your device so forecasts and answers can be delivered to it.
- Your inReach device identifier and display name (Garmin inReach only), an inReach has no address of its own, so we store the identifier that arrives with its messages, the current reply link needed to answer it, and the display name Garmin puts on those messages. That name is usually a person's name, and it's shown in your dashboard so you can tell your devices apart. It is never used for anything else.
- Request logs: the forecast and AI requests your device sends, and the replies, so the service can deliver them, show them in your dashboard, and debug problems.
Where it lives
Account and request data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, which acts as the data processor for Beamback. Access is restricted to your own account by row-level security. Weather data itself comes from public NOAA (GFS) and ECMWF model output.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No third-party tracking or cross-site analytics.
- No selling or sharing of your data with anyone, ever.
Deletion
Want your account and its data gone? Email [email protected] from the address on your account and it will be deleted, logs included.
Who is responsible
Beamback is operated by ablem8 s.r.o., Slovakia. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].
